My mom believed strongly in supporting local charities. 10% of the proceeds from each sale will be donated to the Rivkin Center, based in Seattle, Washington, to support ovarian cancer research by scientists from around the world. This charity is important to me for two reasons:

1) My maternal grandmother died from this disease almost 60 years ago.

2) My dear friend, Mary Anne, passed away in 2009 from ovarian cancer.

To date, we still do not have an early detection test for this deadly disease!
